Manager, Land

We are looking for a proactive and field-oriented professional to support land acquisition and site development for our wind and solar energy projects. The role involves conducting land surveys and site visits, verifying locations, performing due diligence, resolving right-of-way (ROW) issues, and liaising with village communities and government authorities. The successful candidate will also manage lease and sale agreements with landowners and ensure all necessary approvals and clearances are obtained to facilitate project execution.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate with developers for land acquisition.

• Liaise on ROW (Right of Way) issues at all levels, including with local administration.

• Coordinate with revenue administration to manage land-related processes and monitor progress.

• Manage all land-related matters from concept to commissioning for project sites.

• Resolve land-related issues for operational sites across the company.

• ​Maintain land-related data and ensure timely release of lease rent until land is handed over to OMS.

• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to land.

• Manage legal matters for current and past projects.

• Engage with external legal counsel on TSR and other legal issues.

• Conduct site surveys and finalize land for wind and solar projects, including infrastructure needs.

• Handle ROW/RoU for pathways and all associated infrastructure.

• Travel to other sites and states as needed for land-related activities.

Prerequisites:

• A graduate degree in any discipline is required.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with at least 3 years in a relevant land-related role.

• Must have prior experience working in North Karnataka and be fluent in Kannada.

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability in managing responsibilities.

• Proven ability to engage and manage external stakeholders effectively.
