Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Internal Audit to lead our audit function from our Delhi NCR office. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive audit plan, managing a high-performing team, and acting as a key partner to business leaders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Audit & Planning: Develop and execute an annual, risk-based internal audit plan. Oversee all audit engagements, including financial, operational, compliance, and IT audits, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of audit professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high ethical standards.
  3. Cross-Functional Partnership: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Technology, and other business units. Act as a trusted advisor on risk and control matters.
  4. Process Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and business processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement and efficiency.
  5. Reporting & Governance: Prepare clear and concise audit reports and ensure compliance with internal audit standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: A qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
  • Experience: 15+ years of post-qualification experience in internal audit, with a significant portion in a leadership role managing a team.
  • Environment: Proven experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic environments, preferably in a retail, e-commerce, or tech-enabled company.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of financial and operational processes, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a high degree of integrity and analytical rigor.
