Role & responsibilities

  • System design: Create detailed HVAC system designs using AUTOCAD and other software, including schematics, layouts, and bills of materials.
  • Calculations: Perform heat load and static pressure calculations to determine system capacity and analyze equipment requirements.
  • Equipment selection: Choose and apply appropriate HVAC equipment, including air handling units and terminal devices.
  • Compliance and efficiency: Ensure all designs meet relevant industry codes (like ASHRAE standards), energy efficiency goals, and client requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work with architects, contractors, and other engineers to coordinate designs and resolve issues.
  • Installation support: Inspect and troubleshoot systems during and after installation to ensure quality and proper function.
  • Project documentation: Prepare required handing over documents, cost estimates, and other project deliverables.
