About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced SQL Database Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performing databases and data-driven applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL programming, database design, performance optimization, and data integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support applications, analytics, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data integration and migration.
  • Design and implement database schemas, normalization, indexing, and partitioning for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with application developers to integrate database logic into application code.
  • Monitor database performance and perform tuning, optimization, and query analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through proper design and administration practices.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Assist in the design and development of data warehouses and BI reporting solutions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).
  • Exposure to data warehousing concepts and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or shell scripting for data manipulation and automation.
  • Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), or equivalent.
