Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, DevOps practices, infrastructure management, and reliability engineering. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to build scalable systems, drive automation, and ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Software Development & Automation

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions, frameworks, and automations.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and maintain shared knowledge.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

Reliability Engineering & Operations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements and design solutions focused on stability and reliability.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and problems across systems and applications.
  • Participate in incident and problem management processes, including on-call rotation.
  • Create and maintain runbooks for operational tasks and incident response.

Infrastructure & Performance Management

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and highly reliable cloud or on-premises infrastructure.
  • Optimize system performance by analysing key performance metrics and identifying bottlenecks.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions aligned with SLI/SLO requirements for applications and infrastructure.

DevOps, CI/CD & Automation

  • Develop and implement automation tools and frameworks to reduce manual effort and enhance reliability.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
  • Advocate for and implement DevOps and SRE best practices across the engineering organization.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure systems comply with industry security and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct security assessments and collaborate with security teams to implement necessary controls.

Documentation & Mentorship

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
  • Share knowledge and provide guidance to junior engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in programming or scripting languages, preferably
    Python
    .
  • Solid understanding of
    Agile development methodologies
    .
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform:
    Microsoft Azure
    or
    Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    .
  • Hands-on experience building
    CI/CD workflows
    , preferably using
    GitHub Actions
    .
  • Strong background in
    observability
    using tools like
    Splunk
    ,
    Grafana
    , etc.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as
    Git
    .
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and learning mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
