Job Overview:

We are looking for a talented C/Linux Developer with 2+ years of experience to join our growing team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate should be passionate about coding in C and have hands-on experience with Linux system programming. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects, enhance your skills, and contribute to building high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications written in C within a Linux environment.
  • Design and implement high-performance, scalable software systems.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and design solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug application issues to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Optimize code for speed, memory efficiency, and overall performance.
  • Work with version control systems (e.g., Git) and follow Agile methodologies.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Perform unit testing and work on the integration of automated tests.
  • Ensure the reliability and security of applications across different Linux distributions.
  • Document code, processes, and development workflows.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in C programming and Linux technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in C programming in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Strong understanding of Linux system programming, including processes, memory management, file systems, and networking.
  • Familiarity with multi-threading, concurrency, and synchronization techniques in C.
  • Experience with Linux shell scripting (Bash, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of Linux internals (e.g., Kernel, IPC, networking).
  • Proficient in debugging tools like gdb, strace, and valgrind.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Good understanding of algorithms and data structures.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with network programming (TCP/IP, sockets).
  • Exposure to performance tuning and profiling tools.
  • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
  • Experience in embedded systems or low-level programming.
  • Familiarity with C++ is an advantage.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in C/Linux development.
