We're seeking someone to join our team as a Python Developer in SMT team. The Spend Management Technology organization is responsible for delivering innovative enterprise technology solutions that enable the business' processes for firm-wide controls including Sourcing, Contract Management, Accounts Payable, Asset Management and Third-Party Oversight.

Spend Management Technology

Spend Management Technology (SMT) is seeking a Backend/Database developer who will play an integral role in designing, implementing, and supporting data integration with new systems, data warehouse, and data extraction solutions across SMT functional areas.

This is a Cloud & infrastructure Engineering III position at Director Level, which is part of the job family responsible for managing and optimizing technical infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems to support business needs effectively.

What you'll do in the role:

The candidate must have hands-on experience working on Informatica, shell scripting. Python, worked with database (DB2), database procedural language; In addition, candidate must have experience work independently. The candidate must also be well versed in full software development lifecycle and methodologies.

• Key ETL Developer on the Project.
• Will need to engage with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Application DBA to implement ETL Solutions
• Must be able to multi-task between various tasks and projects
• This ETL developer role is geared more towards an ETL developer with python development skills.
• Must have the ability to support all phases of SDLC- requirements gathering, development, testing, production implementation and postproduction.
• Performing Proof of Concepts on new platforms
• Good Team Player

What you'll bring to the role:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline
• Over 7 years of hands-on experience as a developer specializing in ETL technologies
• Extensive background in data integration, with a focus on designing and developing reusable interfaces
• Advanced proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, DB2, Unix shell scripting, Unix operating systems, database technologies, and database design/modelling
• Experience with containerization technologies (such as Docker or Kubernetes) for deploying and managing applications
• Expert-level knowledge of data warehousing, core database principles, and relational database architecture
• In-depth experience working with Python data frames and related data transformation libraries
  Experience with distributed streaming platforms, particularly Apache Kafka, for real-time data processing and integration will be a plus
• Strong technological acumen paired with a strategic mindset
• Demonstrated history of achieving measurable results
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, both personally and within the team.
• Practical experience in API development is an advantage
• Hands-on experience with Informatica development is an asset
• Experience with data cataloguing and metadata management tools will be a plus
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools, and experience working with Source-to-Pay applications such as SAP Ariba and Accounts Payable systems, is considered a plus
