Role & responsibilities

  • Evaluate and approve new suppliers through audits, capability assessments, and documentation review.
  • Monitor supplier performance using quality metrics such as PPM, delivery compliance, and corrective actions.
  • Review and validate PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and APQP documentation for supplied components.
  • Conduct incoming inspections to ensure materials and components meet specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for supplier-related quality issues.
  • Maintain supplier quality records, reports, and performance scorecards for continuous monitoring.
  • Develop and implement supplier improvement plans and track effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with IATF 16949 and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Purchase, Production, NPD) for supplier development and localization projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers on quality tools like FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
