Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a WordPress Developer located in
Gurugram/Bangalore.
The WordPress Developer will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. The day-to-day tasks will include designing and implementing new features and functionalities, establishing and guiding the website's architecture, and ensuring high performance and availability. The candidate will also be responsible for formulating an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Back-End Web Development
  • Expertise in Front-End Development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience with Responsive Web Design and Web Design principles
  • Strong knowledge of Web Development processes and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of demonstrable experience in WordPress development, with a strong portfolio showcasing custom themes and plugins.

Technical expertise:

o   Languages: Advanced proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with familiarity with front-end libraries or frameworks (e.g., jQuery, React).

o   Databases: Strong working knowledge of MySQL and database management.

o   WordPress ecosystem: Deep understanding of the WordPress core, architecture, plugin architecture, theme development, and APIs.

o   Version control: Mastery of version control systems like Git.

Tools and software:

  • Experience with page builders (e.g., Elementor, Gutenberg), Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), debugging tools, and project management software.
  • Optimization: Expertise in web performance optimization, including Core Web Vitals and SEO best practices.

Soft skills:

o   Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

o   Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

o   Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
