Data Science Tamil Mentor / Trainer

Location

Kerala (Tamil / Tamil-speaking region preferred) — In-person or hybrid (depending on location of students)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training and mentorship in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI/ML, Python programming, Statistics, data analysis, and data visualization.
  • Teach students through lectures, hands-on sessions, real-world datasets, and practical projects. Indeed+1
  • Guide and advise students on capstone projects, exploratory data analysis (EDA), ML model building, ML pipelines, model evaluation and deployment — helping them build portfolio projects for job applications. Indeed
  • Conduct assessments: weekly quizzes, assignments, hackathons or coding challenges, and doubt-clearing sessions to ensure student progress. Indeed
  • (If relevant) Contribute to designing or refining the Data Science / AI/ML curriculum to meet industry standards and placement needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g. Python, R, or similar) along with knowledge of data handling, cleaning and manipulation.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics (probability, statistics, data analysis) to teach data science concepts and statistical modeling.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and data-analysis tools/libraries (e.g. Pandas, Matplotlib/Seaborn, SQL / databases, maybe Tableau / PowerBI depending on curriculum).
  • Good communication skills: able to explain complex data science / ML / statistical concepts in a simple, beginner-friendly way (especially important if teaching to students from non-CS background).
