Your Role

  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Microfocus Enterprise Developer and Visual COBOL.
  • Perform mainframe modernization and migration to Microfocus and cloud environments (e.g., Azure or AWS).
  • Configure and manage Microfocus Enterprise Server/Test Server on virtual machines.
  • Develop and optimize COBOL programs, JCL scripts, and batch processes.
  • Engineer integrations between legacy systems and cloud-based solutions.
  • Conduct impact analysis, code refactoring, and performance tuning.
  • Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration and deployment.

Your Profile

  • 7+ years of experience in software development and mainframe modernization.
  • Strong expertise in Microfocus Enterprise Developer, Visual COBOL, and Microfocus Enterprise Server.
  • Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and ISAM.
  • Experience with Azure/AWS, containerization, and cloud integration.
  • Solid understanding of MS SQL, SSIS, SSRS; DB2 experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments and Visual Studio.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
