Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end manual UI testing for a Java-based pricing solution in the retail domain, ensuring high-quality user experience across multiple workflows.
  • Analyze business and functional requirements to define acceptance criteria and design detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
  • Execute functional, regression, and UI/UX testing across multiple browsers and devices to ensure visual and functional consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners within Agile sprints to validate new features and identify issues early.
  • Document and maintain test artifacts (test cases, test results, regression suites).
  • Log, track, and manage defects using standard defect tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution with the development team.
  • Provide estimates on test effort for planned features and releases.
  • Contribute to process improvement and best practices in testing.
  • Basic knowledge of automation tools/scripting is a plus, with openness to learning and contributing to automation efforts over time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • 3–4 years of experience in manual UI/functional testing.
  • Hands-on experience in cross-browser/device testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Good understanding of software QA methodologies and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
