Job Purpose:

To participate, learn, execute and relearn the various aspects of the product, domain, project Management, Client handling, Team management and working with management team in these areas and executing all or required items mentioned in the accountabilities/Responsibilities in the interest of organization.

The Business Analyst / Functional Consultant will be responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business, leveraging data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. This role involves working closely with the business to understand their needs, translate those needs into detailed functional requirements, demonstrate or Walkthrough the application and ensure that the IT solutions align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirement Gathering:

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

- Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to collect detailed business requirements.

2. Data Analysis:

- Analyze complex business problems and assess how automated systems can be implemented to solve them.

- Perform data analysis to support business decision-making processes.

3. Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for business process improvements and drive the implementation of these improvements.

- Develop process flow diagrams, business process maps, and other documentation to support process improvement initiatives.

4. Solution Assessment:

- Evaluate proposed solutions, assess risks, and determine the best approach to meet business needs.

- Assist in the creation of prototypes and proof-of-concept models.

5. Stakeholder Management:

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of project goals and deliverables.

- Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.

6. Documentation:

- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and user stories.

- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

7. System Design:

- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system design specifications.

- Design and configure systems and applications to meet business requirements.

8. Implementation and Testing:

- Lead and participate in the implementation of new systems, applications, and processes.

- Develop test plans, test cases, and perform system testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.

- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for implemented systems and applications.

10. Project Management:

Assist in project planning, including defining project scope, objectives, and timelines.

- Coordinate with project teams, including developers, testers, and business stakeholders, to ensure project success.

11. Change Management:

- Assist in managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.

- Ensure that changes are communicated and understood by all stakeholders.

12. Continuous Improvement:

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

- Continuously seek opportunities to improve systems and processes.

12. Participate in Business Development:

- Assist to Sales and marketing to presentations, demonstrations, POC's

- Assist the Sales and Marketing team in preparing response to the sales Enquires, RFI, RFQ' and RFP etc

Other Qualifications:

  • 1-6 Yrs  of experience in a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with business analysis tools and methodologies.

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Word, Powerpoint, project, Power BI, Tableau).

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is plus.

  • Experience with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems is a plus.
