Urgent job opening for Server Administrator at Borivali.

Server Administrator with hands-on experience in Windows, Linux, Cloud platforms, and VMware. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a hybrid IT infrastructure that includes on-premises servers, virtualization environments, and cloud resources. The role also involves hardware installations, clustering, and application hosting, and system-level troubleshooting.

Qualification: Bachelors degree

Experience : 4+ years of experience in server administration (Windows/Linux).

Key Responsibilities:

Windows Server Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and File Servers.
  • Set up and troubleshoot Windows Server Clustering (Failover Clustering) for high availability.
  • Perform patching, updates, security hardening, and system optimization.
  • Linux Server Administration
  • Install, configure, and support Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Manage services like Apache, Samba, SSH, and scripting via Bash/Python.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, implement monitoring and automation.
  • Manage cloud instances, storage, networking, and IAM roles.
  • Automate deployment and backups using cloud-native tools or scripts.
  • Monitor resource usage and optimize for performance and cost.

VMware & Virtualization

  • Install, configure, and maintain VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.
  • Perform VM provisioning, snapshot management, and resource allocation
  • Monitor and troubleshoot VM performance and availability.
  • Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and vSAN.
  • Perform VM provisioning, template creation, cloning, and automation tasks.
  • Maintain and monitor the health, performance, and capacity of all VMware components.
  • Manage and troubleshoot vMotion, DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler), HA (High Availability), and VMware Tools.
  • Design and implement scalable and resilient VMware solutions based on business requirements
  • Evaluate existing virtual infrastructure and recommend improvements or upgrades.
  • Assist with the architecture and deployment of disaster recovery and business continuity solutions using VMware SRM (Site Recovery Manager) or similar tools.
  • Configure and manage shared storage systems used by VMware (SAN/NAS/iSCSI/Fibre Channel).
  • Work closely with storage and network teams to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
  • Configure virtual switches, distributed switches, VLANs, and port groups in vSphere.

IIS & Application Hosting

  • Set up and configure Microsoft IIS for web and internal applications.
  • Manage SSL certificates, bindings, app pools, and site security.
  • Troubleshoot application and web server-related issues.
  • Handle daily server operations, health checks, and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve OS, application, and network-related issues.
  • Perform backups and disaster recovery testing.
  • Maintain documentation, SOPs, and change logs.
  • Provide support during planned downtime, upgrades, and emergency incidents.
