Internal Audit Lead: Company Context

Role Summary:

This is an on-site, full-time Internal Audit Lead role focused on assurance and optimization in our New Delhi office.

Your core mission is to shift Internal Audit from compliance-only to a 
proactive, system-driven function
. You'll focus on 
automating audit processes
 and integrating 
AI/Data Analytics
 to identify risks across our digital and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Oversight & Reporting:
     You will 
    work closely with the Audit Committee Chair
     to align audit strategy with organizational risk tolerance, and present concise, impactful findings to the Committee and senior management.
  • Audit Automation & System Building:
     Design and implement tools and systems to 
    automate continuous auditing
     and monitoring controls across ERP, POS, and E-commerce platforms.
  • AI/Data Risk Focus:
     Lead the use of 
    data analytics and AI tools
     to uncover complex risks in inventory, digital payments, and supply chain logistics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
     Ensure effective 
    collaboration
     with stakeholders across 
    Technology, Finance, and Retail Operations
     to embed controls and drive process improvements.
  • Clear Communication:
     Maintain excellent written and verbal 
    communication
     to articulate complex audit issues, risks, and recommended actions clearly and persuasively.
  • Process Optimization:
     Drive efficiency by providing tech-based solutions for operational workflows.

Qualifications

  • Technical Audit Experience:
     Proven background in internal audit with a focus on 
    system, IT, and operational audits
     within high-growth or tech retail environments.
  • Leadership & Communication:
     Demonstrated ability to interact and influence senior leaders, including experience presenting to executive committees or boards.
  • Data Proficiency:
     Strong command of 
    data analytics tools
     (SQL, Python, ACL, etc.) for continuous auditing.
  • Automation Mindset:
     Experience designing and implementing automated control monitoring systems.
  • Education:
     Chartered Accountancy is a must
