What You'll Do

As a Senior Software Engineer at Principal, you will play a crucial role in crafting, developing, and implementing high-quality software solutions. Your expertise will be fundamental in guaranteeing our products are scalable, reliable, and efficient. You will closely collaborate with our product development team, comprehend user requirements, and transform them into flawless technical specifications. You'll have the opportunity to: 

  • Build and develop software solutions that set industry standards

  • Translate complex user requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

  • Engage in code evaluations and play a role in enhancing software development procedures
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in software development
  • Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with Java development
  • Apply AWS cloud knowledge and experience to improve our software solutions
  • Incorporate TypeScript knowledge/experience for AWS development
  • Develop, code, test, debug, and document software following guidelines
  • Carry out assessments of build and code to guarantee alignment with coding standards, unit testing, security, scalability, and maintainability procedures
Qualifications

Who You Are

  • Bringing a Bachelor's degree in a computer science, technology, engineering, or math-related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4 to 7 years of demonstrated expertise in software development
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB or equivalent experience
  • Proficient knowledge of software development principles and methodologies
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Strong desire and ability to learn new technology and continuously grow
  • Availability to provide on-call support when necessary
