PGT Political Science

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Political Science for senior secondary students (Classes XI & XII) following CBSE curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that align with the syllabus and educational standards.
• Encourage critical thinking, debates, and discussions on political systems, ideologies, governance, and current affairs.
• Utilize modern teaching methodologies, including digital tools, to enhance the learning experience.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback and guidance.
• Conduct extra sessions for slow learners and ensure all students grasp key concepts effectively.
• Organize academic activities such as Model United Nations (MUN), debates, and guest lectures to enhance student engagement.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents when necessary.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in Political Science along with B.Ed. (Mandatory)
• Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school/institution.
• Strong command over the subject and excellent communication skills.
• Passion for teaching and ability to engage students in meaningful discussions.
• Proficiency in using technology for online and offline teaching.
• Ability to inspire and mentor students for higher studies and competitive exams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• NET/Ph.D. in Political Science (desirable but not mandatory).
• Experience with competitive exam preparation (e.g., UPSC, UGC NET) is a plus.
• Familiarity with NEP 2020 guidelines and their implementation in school education.
