  • Accurately record patient information, insurance details, and service codes from patient records into the billing system.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of medical billing processes, including coding, claims filing, and insurance verification
  • Verify the accuracy of charges and post them to the patient's account within the billing software
  • Contribute to the smooth functioning of the revenue cycle by accurately and timely entering charges and posting payments.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines related to medical billing and data privacy.
  • Develop proficiency in using various billing software and electronic medical records systems.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze EOBs/ERAs.
  • Processing Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) and manual Explanations of Benefits (EOBs).
  • Recording insurance and patient payments, including adjustments and denials, in the system.
  • Applying offset and write-offs.
  • Balancing the batches with the deposit total
  • Identifies any payments not being paid at the allowed/contracted amount and communicates this to the appropriate billing representative
  • Identifying and communicating denials to the Account Receivable team.
