Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Head Mixologist to lead our bar program and redefine the cocktail experience at The Outlet. You will be the creative force behind our beverage identity, driving innovation while honoring the spirit of our community-driven space.

Key Responsibilities Creative & Operational Leadership

• Design, develop, and execute a signature cocktail menu that reflects the spirit of The Humming Tree — creative, bold, and rooted in quality.
• Innovate with ingredients, techniques, and presentation to create a memorable guest experience.
• Lead menu development including seasonal specials, low-ABV options, and non-alcoholic pairings.

Team Management & Training

• Recruit, train, and mentor the bar team to ensure high performance and consistency.
• Foster a collaborative, energetic, and respectful work culture behind the bar.
• Conduct regular training on mixology techniques, product knowledge, and service standards.

Bar Operations & Cost Management

• Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring cleanliness, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations.
• Manage bar inventory, ordering, vendor relations, and cost control.
• Monitor and control beverage costs, wastage, and stock variance.

Guest Experience & Brand Building

• Engage with guests to educate and elevate their experience — from the classics to the avant-garde.
• Represent the venue at events, collaborations, tastings, and pop-ups.
• Be a key brand ambassador for The Humming Tree, both in-house and externally.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Bartender or Mixologist in a high-volume or craft cocktail setting.
• Deep knowledge of spirits, infusions, bitters, garnishes, and modern mixology techniques.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to balance creativity with business acumen (costing, efficiency, team scheduling).
• Understanding of Bangalore's F&B scene is a plus.
• Passion for music, art, and culture is a BIG bonus.
