Satellite Image Analysis Assistant

Position Summary:

The Satellite Image Analysis Assistant is responsible for assisting in the collection, processing, and analysis of Earth observation imagery data from satellites for applications such as environmental monitoring, urban planning, agricultural management, and national defense reconnaissance. This position is a foundational role in remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and spatial data analysis, suitable for individuals interested in satellite data, image processing, and geographic analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect and organize satellite imagery data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Assist in image preprocessing, including correction, cropping, denoising, and registration.

Assist in labeling and classifying target or feature information (such as vegetation, water bodies, buildings, etc.) in imagery.

Assist in analyzing image trends to provide data support for reports or research.

Use GIS, remote sensing software, and related tools for basic data visualization and statistical analysis.

Record processing procedures and analysis results, and assist in writing reports or data descriptions.

Comply with data security and privacy protection regulations.

Support the team in completing project delivery and research tasks.

Qualifications:

Vocational school diploma or above in Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Environmental Science, Earth Science, or a related field.

Proficient in computer operation and able to use office software and basic data processing tools.

Interested in satellite imagery and geospatial data analysis.

Attentive, patient, and possesses excellent data recording skills.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in operating GIS software (such as ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing software (such as ENVI, ERDAS Imagine).

Understanding basic image processing methods and remote sensing data analysis workflows.

Able to read English technical documents or research materials.

Experience in environmental monitoring, urban planning, or agricultural remote sensing projects is preferred.

Work Environment:

Primarily office or laboratory environment, using computers for image processing and analysis.

May require remote processing of large-scale satellite data.

Work closely with the research team, GIS analysts, and project managers.
