As one of the largest e-commerce companies in the world, Amazon Payments processes billions of secure on-line transactions via a number of payment mechanisms, including credit cards, convenience store payment, net banking, digital cash, cash on delivery and electronic gift certificates. Transactions are processed on behalf of thousands of merchants, including Amazon is known across the globe as the most trusted company on the Internet. Amazon Pay Business Operations team work on 20+ manual processes every day. As Amazon Pay business is growing non-linearly year-on-year with new product/feature launches, team needs additional workforce to continue providing support for the same processes. RPA platforms provide the opportunity to automate these business processes directly by business teams. While tech teams will continue to build long-term solution at payment systems, RPA program will create bots which will work as virtual team to support operational processes 24x7 in the long term.

Our vision is to expand the scope across all teams in Amazon Pay as per Drive-to-Zero initiative of Amazon Pay Operations LRF (3YP).

Working in a dynamic environment, you will be responsible for automating dashboards, monitoring key success metrics, managing WBR reports, identifying problem areas and business challenges and collaboratively shaping solutions with Amazon Pay teams to help optimize on the platform. The successful candidate has a passion for extracting actionable insights from data. The candidate needs to innovate, and quickly become a subject matter expert to assess business performance across different Amazon Pay areas. The candidate should have significant experience working with automations, analyzing data, identifying trends, extracting conclusions, and presenting findings in a simple and clear manner. The candidate should enjoy problem solving and is proficient in VBA and other automation tools.

Key job responsibilities

  • Analyze the manual process & create process design
  • Develop and automate the process using different automation tools (RPA etc.)
  • Code review, fix & deploy process on production
  • Create dashboards for the automated process and built a reporting mechanism.

A day in the life

Understand the requirement from business teams from process design documents and walkthrough sessions

  • Design the process for automation and get the approval from business teams
  • Write the code using standard methods and best practices using Automation tools (C# preferred)
  • Work with teams to fix the issues in testing and perform modification changes in old codes.
  • Move the code to production and maintain projects.

About The Team
RPA - Robotics process Automation team is a part of operations team who work in automation of manual and repetative work in Ops and Customer Escalation team

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of complex Excel VBA macros writing experience
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience with SQL or ETL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Tableau
  • Experience using very large datasets
