Manager - Mining

Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinates open pit activities like drilling, blasting, excavation and transportation etc.
•  Control pit operations to detect violation of safety  regulations and compile safety and production records
• Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment
• Responsible to ensure  proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment's
• Control pit operations to detect violation of safety  regulations and compile safety and production records
• Assist in work  scheduling and planning
• Maintain accurate data/records/documentation 
• carry out prescribed tasks/projects in accordance with contract requirements
• carry out allocated shift tasks/projects within set time limits 
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, policies and procedures, codes of practice and legislation related to mine safety and environment as well       
• Responsible for effective use of resources and control expenses to meet budgetary controls 
• Ensure compliance of the conditions mentioned in Reg- 106(2b) of MMR-1961
• Oversee shift process and providing appropriate instruction to designated team 
• Responsible to optimize the shift working hour
• Co-ordinate with team/contractors/suppliers and other stakeholders for augmentation of productivity
• Immediately report problems/constraints to the Line Manager that may impact on the organization

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field
• Master's degree in Mining Management (preferred)

Experience

• 10 years of experience in the  mining industry
• Proven track record of effectively managing shift operations
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in leading a team
