Job description

Best Bay Logistics is the one of the biggest names to provide various services under one roof, such as Transportation (both Drayage & TL), Freight Forwarding, Storage & Warehousing in US & Canada.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs general accounting and other related duties for the organization.
  • Analyze monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements and research any variances.
  • Perform bookkeeping of various clients by verifying, allocating and posting transactions from bank statements, Invoices etc. through
  • Reconciles bank accounts on a monthly basis, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including cash/bank reconciliations for multiple locations.
  • Verifies invoice coding associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries.
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current processes and recommending improvements/efficiencies.
  • Backup to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable-Assisting with 1099 sales rep and subcontract vendor onboarding and offboarding process.
  • Assists with the annual financial audit.
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MSWord and PowerPoint and Working Knowledge of different accounting software including QBO, , Netsuite, Sage, SAP, Navision, and Tally
  • Internationa accounting experience is a must prefferably U.S accounting.
