The loading supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring safe handling of goods, accuracy in documentation, compliance with company policies, and timely dispatch of consignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading & Unloading Operations
  • Supervise the loading and unloading of vehicles as per company procedures.
  • Ensure proper stacking, weight distribution, and securing of cargo to avoid damage in transit.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff, drivers, and helpers for smooth operations.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Monitor loading activities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Enforce use of protective gear and safe material-handling practices.
  • Ensure adherence to transport laws, company SOPs, and client-specific requirements.
  • Documentation & Record Keeping
  • Verify goods against challans, invoices, and loading lists before dispatch.
  • Maintain records of loaded/unloaded consignments, damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Prepare daily/weekly loading reports and submit to management.
  • Team Coordination
  • Guide and supervise loading staff, laborers, and helpers.
  • Allocate duties, monitor performance, and resolve operational issues.
  • Train new staff on safe and efficient loading practices.
  • Client & Driver Interaction
  • Coordinate with clients/customers during loading to ensure satisfaction.
  • Brief drivers about load details, route instructions, and handling guidelines.
  • Resolve on-ground issues related to vehicle loading/unloading.
  • Quality & Efficiency
  • Minimize loading/unloading time without compromising safety.
  • Ensure goods are handled carefully to reduce damage claims.
  • Implement process improvements for better turnaround time.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • 5–10 years of experience in transport/logistics/warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of loading techniques, vehicle capacity, and cargo safety.
  • Strong leadership and team-handling skills.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Excel, ERP, email reporting).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10, ₹20,000.00 per month
