Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager Hospital Operations is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the hospital. The role involves coordinating with various clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure smooth functioning, efficient patient flow, and adherence to hospital policies, quality standards, and compliance norms.

Key Responsibilities:Operational Management

  • Oversee daily hospital operations to ensure efficiency, patient satisfaction, and service quality.
  • Monitor functioning of OPD, IPD, Emergency, Diagnostics, Pharmacy, and Front Office departments.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between clinical, nursing, housekeeping, and administrative teams.
  • Track bed occupancy, discharge process, and patient turnaround time.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance patient experience and resource utilization.

Administrative Support

  • Assist in preparing duty rosters, shift schedules, and manpower allocation.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and statutory compliance.
  • Maintain records related to operations, staff attendance, and departmental reports.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Procurement for operational requirements.

Patient Care & Quality

  • Monitor and maintain patient satisfaction levels through feedback collection and analysis.
  • Handle and resolve patient complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Support NABH/JCI accreditation and quality assurance processes.
  • Conduct regular audits of service areas to ensure hygiene, safety, and service standards.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management review.
  • Analyze data on patient inflow, revenue, utilization, and efficiency metrics.
  • Assist in budget planning, cost control, and resource optimization initiatives.
