Job Overview

The JAMF Administrator is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and availability of our JAMF Pro instance, a critical component of our Apple device management. This role involves proactive system management, troubleshooting, and strategy development to enhance security and efficiency. The successful candidate may collaborate with IT teams across our Los Angeles headquarters and offices in Asia and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • JAMF Pro Administration: Configure, manage, and continuously optimize JAMF Pro to meet evolving organizational needs.
  • Policy & Security: Develop, implement, and maintain security policies for Apple devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks).
  • Scripting & Automation: Utilize scripting languages (Bash, Python, or similar) to automate tasks and enhance JAMF Pro's capabilities.
  • Patch Management: Manage system and application patch deployment schedules to ensure device security and compliance.
  • Inventory & Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of devices, track software licenses, and manage device lifecycles.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Monitor JAMF Pro and the Apple device fleet, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work with IT teams (systems, networking, security) to integrate JAMF Pro into the broader IT infrastructure. Maintain clear documentation on configurations and processes.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience administering JAMF Pro in a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in macOS and iOS/iPadOS, including their underlying technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation within JAMF.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles and experience enforcing security policies for Apple devices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Highly Desired:

  • JAMF certifications (e.g., Certified JAMF Associate, Certified JAMF Expert).
  • Experience with Active Directory/LDAP integration in JAMF.
