Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead Network Engineer is responsible for the design, support and administration of Dish's Support network
  • protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, TCP/IP, MPLS, STP, and IPv4, subnetting, routing and knowledge on Nexus, ASR, ISR, and Catalyst, ACI/APIC. Administer global Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, and Cisco ISE.
  • Should lead the Network team & support other team members in windows, Linux, Mac and VMWare administration tasks. Lead Network
  • engineer supports everyday operations through documentation, configuration, monitoring, and
  • troubleshooting. This includes but is not limited to, implementing Change Requests (CRs), responding to
  • production incidents by joining troubleshooting bridges and taking actions to restore services to normal,
  • and routine maintenance (upgrades, Network traffic traces, etc.).
  • The candidate should be flexible in Rotational Shift.
  • Support and implementation of a large campus network including Data centres.
  • Must have L3 understanding of various routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
  • Excellent understanding of disaster recovery, and diverse and resilient network setup.
  • Must have a L3 understanding of various switching protocols like STP, RSTP, HSRP, VRRP, VTP etc.
  • L3 experience in Palo Alto Firewalls in multi virtual system environment, very comfortable with Panorama and threat prevention tools, SSL decryption used by Palo Alto (Wildfire, encryption, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of AWS connectivity, experience with security groups Should have excellent knowledge of GRE tunnel, IPsec tunnel, RAVPN, SSL VPN, ACL and NAT concepts.
  • Should have excellent knowledge of firewalls like Cisco ASA, Next gen FW Palo alto
  • L3 Experience working on AWS with an understanding of VPC, EC2, security groups, IAM roles assignment, and routing.
  • Should have excellent knowledge of Zscaler proxy Zscaler Internet access , Zscaler Private access Zero trust Network Access, SD-WAN and ACI.
  • Should have experience in F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM) modules, including advanced traffic management and application delivery Should have knowledge of SSL offloading, certificates, and secure traffic flows

Skills, Experience And Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Routers, switches and firewalls in a large data centre environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent (MSc, MCA).
  • Must be CCNA/CCNP certified.
  • L3 command of Cisco ISE administration.
  • L3 Knowledge of AWS infrastructure.
  • Experience with network configuration automation (Scripting with Perl/Python/Bash)
  • A commitment to improving processes as a lead, team collaboration and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers, allocate responsibilities, and ensure adherence to best practices
  • Ensure SLA adherence, reduce incident MTTR, maintain high availability and resiliency of network services.
