Role Description

This is a full-time in office Lighting Designer role located in Noida at Tungsten Studio Lighting Design. The Lighting Designer will be part of the creative team and be responsible for tasks in architectural lighting including concept development, documentation, site visits while working closely with interior designers/Architects to create captivating lighting designs for various projects.

Qualifications

  • Good Sketching skills and design sense.
  • Knowledge of lighting control systems and technologies
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between light and architecture
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interior designers and architects
  • Knowledge of different lighting techniques and equipment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related design field

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with the team and be part of the creative leadership team.
  • Development of lighting concepts, including rendering, sketching, and mood imagery.
  • Creative communication and engagement with the project design team and client.
  • Proof of concept calculations and modeling (where applicable).
  • Production of drawings and support documentation as required (AutoCAD and/or Revit).
  • Specification of lighting equipment and lighting control systems.
  • Onsite construction and commissioning support.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Ideal candidate has a graduation in a design field like Architecture or Interior design.
  • Has experience working in an independent lighting design practice.
  • Worked on lighting design presentations, documentation and site reviews on any kind of project.
  • Keen to learn more and contribute in the field of lighting design with a long term goal to grow in this profession.
