Designer - Instrumentation

About the Job:

Kent is looking for a Designer Instrumentation to be based in Mumbai / Vadodara.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision:
• Modelling of offline instruments, Junction box, Air manifold, Local panel etc.
• 3D Modelling Clash check and resolution
• JB grouping
• Preparation of instrumentation location plans
• Preparation of fire and gas location layout
• Preparation cable routing layout
• Preparation Tray routing layout
• Preparation of Hookup / Installation drawings

Assist with as-building deliverablesIn addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: 

• Diploma in Instrumentation 
• 5-10 years of detail engineering experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, & Petrochemical industry 
• Project specific codes, standards and regulations and specifications that apply to Automation.
• Project Automation Deliverables
• Project quality management system and procedures
• Automation workflow 
• Project Automation database (e.g. Smart Plant).
• Piping & Instrument drawings (P&IDs)

 Communication:

• Excellent oral and written communication and skills

• 2D and 3D AutoCAD and Micro station, Smart PLANT, PDS, AutoPLANT
• Navisworks / SP3D 
• Other project-specific software tools 
• Microsoft Office Suite
