Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a spectrum of renal conditions.
  • Oversee and manage dialysis treatments (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis), ensuring quality control and infection prevention.
  • Collaborate with renal transplant teams for pre and posttransplant care, including evaluation, immunosuppression management, and monitoring.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests such as lab reports, imaging, and renal biopsies; develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide counseling to patients and families regarding disease progression, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and adherence.
  • Supervise and train junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff in nephrology protocols and best practices.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teamsincluding general medicine, urology, pathology, radiology—for comprehensive patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational: MBBS, MD (Internal Medicine) plus DM or DNB in Nephrology, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 0 to 4 years post-DM/DNB in clinical nephrology. (Opening suited for freshers up to early-career consultants.)

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in clinical assessment, diagnostics, and renal therapeutics.
  • Competence in monitoring and operating dialysis techniques.
  • Effective communication and patient counseling.
  • Attention to detail, especially in following protocols (especially dialysis safety).
  • Collaborative mindset with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Willingness to engage in teaching and mentoring responsibilities.
