**Role Highlights:** - **Experience Range:** 5 to 10 years of hands-on expertise with cutting-edge big data tools and processing technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Kafka, Yarn cluster, and Java. - **Mastery in Development:** Showcasing a strong development background, you're a Spark aficionado with mastery over Amazon EMR (Elastic MapReduce). - **Scripting Languages:** Your toolkit includes object-oriented/object function scripting languages like SQL, Python, Java, and Scala. - **Cloud Pioneering:** Leverage your 5+ years of AWS prowess and exhibit hands-on familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - **Database Wizardry:** Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases like Vertica, Postgres, and Cassandra complements your skills. - **Designing Data Models:** Possessing a grasp of data modeling concepts, you're adept at structuring data for optimum understanding and usability. - **Streaming Brilliance:** Adept at working with streaming/event-driven technologies like Lambda, Kinesis, and Kafka, you're the maestro orchestrating real-time data flows. - **Optional ML Exposure:** While not mandatory, exposure to ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow showcases your versatility. - **Architectural Experience:** Prior roles as a senior data architect, technical lead, system architect, or similar roles provide you with the strategic vision we're looking for.
**Key Responsibilities:** - **Modern Data Deployment:** Spearhead the implementation of contemporary data structures and models, facilitating the creation of reliable and scalable data products. - **End-to-End Expertise:** Develop and manage end-to-end data pipelines and application stacks, encompassing Hadoop, Vertica, Tableau, Hue, Superset, and more. - **Automate and Innovate:** Create robust processes for automation, testing, and seamless deployment, while actively seeking opportunities for innovation. - **Risk Mitigation:** Identify and address logic and data challenges, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our data environment. - **RCA Champion:** Take the lead in root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution of intricate data issues. - **Document and Communicate:** Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and projects, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing. - **Pioneering Proof of Concepts:** Harness your expertise to independently drive proof of concepts for novel tools and frameworks, and effectively present findings to leadership. - **Agile Collaboration:** Thrive in an agile environment, driving cross-departmental projects with finesse. - **Global Team Harmony:** Collaborate seamlessly with our global team, ensuring timely delivery of day-to-day objectives.
