Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA system development, and industrial automation. This role involves the design, development, testing, and implementation of automation solutions for manufacturing and industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and program PLC systems using platforms like Allen-Bradley (RS Logix/Studio 5000), Siemens (TIA Portal/S7), Mitsubishi, or equivalent.
  • Design and configure HMI/SCADA systems (e.g., FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Wonderware).
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control system documentation.
  • Install, test, debug, and optimize PLC code to meet project and process requirements.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot sensors, actuators, VFDs, servo systems, and other automation components.
  • Perform system upgrades, backup/restore tasks, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and process engineering teams.
  • Provide technical support during machine installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
  • Ensure all systems comply with safety, quality, and industry regulations.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related discipline.
  • 58 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and automation engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in:

  • RSLogix 500/5000

  • Studio 5000
  • TIA Portal (Siemens S7)
  • SCADA Systems (FactoryTalk, WinCC, etc.)

  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profibus.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites or manufacturing plants if required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of IEC programming standards
  • Experience with motion control, robotics, and robotic integration
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting in Python, C/C++, or related automation scripting tools
  • Ability to handle multiple automation projects under tight deadlines
