Role & responsibilities :

  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical, electrical, and control components used in elevators and lifts.
  • Implement and monitor quality control plans, checklists, and testing procedures as per company and industry standards (e.g., IS, EN, or ISO).
  • Identify, analyze, and document non-conformities; coordinate root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support vendor quality assurance through audits, supplier evaluation, and component approval processes.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and service teams to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, inspection reports, and calibration records.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits (ISO 9001, safety audits, etc.).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as 5 Why, Pareto Analysis, and FMEA.
  • Monitor field feedback and assist in resolving quality-related issues during installation and maintenance.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Exposure to installation & commissioning quality checks.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and Lean/Six Sigma tools.
  • Experience with customer complaint handling and closure.
