Position Overview:
Boeing India Engineering has an immediate opening for an Associate Software Engineer to be part of coded project software Development and Testing using C, C++ & Python Programming. This is a software developer position that is expected to have hands on exposure to software development and its methodologies and shall also be responsible for driving highest code quality and on-time execution.

This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Development, test, debugging and maintenance of software that is integrated into embedded devices and systems and meets industry, customer, safety and regulation standards.

  • Review, analyze design approaches and lead the software development effort based on agreed design.

  • Reviews code for embedded systems software to run on specific specialized hardware. Leads integration of embedded software with hardware components.

  • Analyze, monitor and improve the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems.

  • Testing and debugging software for embedded devices and systems.

  • Research's and leads implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development and hardware technologies.

  • Provides technical solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity

  • This position will also be responsible for coordinating and communicating project progress with experts in Boeing organizations around the world.

  • This position supports initiatives of Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, customer engagement etc.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION.
  • Hands on with software development (C,C++ & Python) and software architecture and design methodologies.
  • Experience in software development and test methodologies on linux platforms.
  • Worked on development environment using operating systems like Windows & Linux
  • Good working understanding of development tools like GIT, VSCode is must
  • Ability to integrate hardware and software components into a functional system.
  • Knowledge of software testing and usability theory. Knowledge of testing, usability practices.
  • Ability to write and execute test scripts
  • Knowledge of software development and testing tools, capability and usage. Include cross compilers, target debuggers and test/performance instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of real-time target environments, including uControllers, uProcessor and network architectures, communication protocols, simulation frameworks and electrical interfaces. Ability to build, integrate and troubleshoot software components.
  • Knowledge of communications, networking, and protocols (e.g., Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Extensible Mark-up Language (XML), Wireless Access Protocol (WAP)).
  • Knowledge of IoT and its c, cpp stack
  • Candidates must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with multi-functional teams within Boeing and external partners.
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with team members across different cultures and time-zones
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Be fluent in written and spoken English and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, proposals, and Statements of Work.

  • Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, team members, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and complete projects.
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Be fluent in written and spoken English, and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, proposals, and Statements of Work.

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically Bachelors/Masters in streams like electronics or similar related degrees or computer science with 6 to 8 years of related work experience.
