Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and design graphics, patterns, and layouts specifically for woven fabrics.
  • Collaborate with product development, merchandising, and sourcing teams to translate design concepts into production-ready artwork.
  • Research global trends in woven fabric design, color palettes, and textures.
  • Develop CADs, mood boards, and technical specifications for woven designs.
  • Ensure designs meet quality standards and are feasible for manufacturing processes.
  • Manage design timelines and deliverables for seasonal collections.
  • Mentor junior designers and provide creative direction within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
  • 4–8 years of experience in woven fabric design, preferably in apparel or home textiles.
  • Strong proficiency in design software: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and textile-specific tools like NedGraphics or Texcelle.
  • Deep understanding of woven fabric structures, yarn types, and weaving techniques.
  • Excellent sense of color, pattern, and trend forecasting.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in working with international clients and export markets.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in textile design.
  • Familiarity with digital printing and jacquard design processes.
