Position Title: Associate Analyst, Android Engineer
Description:
We are seeking an Associate Analyst Android Engineer to support the development and maintenance of our Abercrombie and Hollister Android applications. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to grow their Android development skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to contribute to the app lifecycle from concept to deployment and support.
What Will Do?
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Android applications under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in the full app lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, and support.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to implement new features and improvements.
- Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews.
- Help troubleshoot bugs and performance issues.
- Stay current with Android development trends and best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and team planning sessions.
What Will You Need to Bring?
- B. E/ B. Tech/ master's degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in Android development (internships or academic projects welcome).
- Familiarity with Java and/or Kotlin.
- Understanding of Android SDK and basic app architecture.
- Exposure to RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn from feedback and mentorship.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with Android Studio and Gradle preferred.
- Familiarity with UI/UX principles and Material Design preferred.
- Exposure to testing frameworks like JUnit or Espresso preferred.
- Interest in CI/CD tools and mobile deployment processes preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn from feedback and mentorship.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
