Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Possess a strong understanding of hydraulic principles, including flow, pressure, and the function of key components.
  • Support the design, integration, and layout of hydraulic components such as cylinders, valves, and hoses for various vehicle and equipment applications.
  • Develop 3D models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD software. Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor is an added advantage.
  • Utilize core engineering fundamentals to design, validate, and optimize mechanical components and assemblies for durability and performance.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate engineering materials based on application requirements, strength, and cost considerations.
  • Work closely with Sales and Customers to understand application needs, propose suitable technical solutions, and adapt existing products as required.
  • Serve as a bridge between customers and sales team to ensure smooth communication, proper requirement capture, and effective implementation.
  • Provide on-site technical support during installation, commissioning, field trials, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Visit field locations, supplier sites, and other Hyva facilities for validation, data collection, and product performance evaluation.
  • Good knowledge of fabrication and sheet metal design, including weld symbols, bend allowances, material thickness selection, and manufacturability considerations.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Educational & Experience: BE Mechanical (3-4 yrs)
  • Good understanding of hydraulic systems including cylinder, pump, valve functions, and hose routing.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering materials and their selection for mechanical and hydraulic applications.
  • Should have 3D modelling and 2D detailing skills with any CAD software such as AUTODESK INVENTOR, CATIA, UG, PRO-E, Solid works etc.
  • Strong interface skills for effective communication with Sales, Customers, and Internal Design/Production teams.
  • Capable of providing technical support to Sales during customer discussions, product selection, and presentations.
  • Experienced in managing customer feedback, technical clarifications, and application-level problem-solving.
  • Should have worked with automotive suppliers with design/R&D department.
  • Should be well versed with 2 D detailing of machined and fabricated components and assemblies, tolerance stacks etc.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier sites, other Hyva plants, and field locations as required.
