Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified and certified Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain enterprise-level database environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle technologies and a strong background in database performance, recovery, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Administration Complete management including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting for Oracle, MSSQL, RAC, ODG, Exadata, OEM.
- Disaster Recovery & Backup Manage DR setups, replication (Oracle Golden Gate), and backups using RMAN and native tools; ensure reliable recovery processes.
- Performance & Monitoring Resolve ORA errors, analyze incidents/alerts, tune performance, and integrate with monitoring solutions.
- Security & Access Control Configure database security features (e.g., Oracle ASO), apply regular patches, and manage user privileges.
- Capacity & Space Planning – Plan for hardware capacity, manage database space, and perform trend analysis on incidents and alerts.
- Documentation & RCA – Maintain SOPs and knowledge base; prepare RCAs for major incidents and support risk mitigation planning.
- Support & Escalation – Provide support for instance crashes, hung states, and ensure smooth startup/shutdown; escalate critical issues appropriately.
Preferred candidate profile
- Oracle DBA Certification (OCA/OCP/OCM)
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Exadata, RAC, ODG
- Strong knowledge of OEM and backup tools like RMAN
- Male candidates preferred
