The role ensures proper stock control, accurate record-keeping, and smooth flow of materials to support day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, tools, and equipment.
- Verify quality and quantity of items against purchase orders and invoices.
- Store materials in an organized manner, ensuring proper labeling and identification.
- Maintain accurate stock levels through systematic tracking and documentation.
- Issue materials to departments based on authorized requisitions.
- Monitor inventory levels, highlight shortages, and initiate replenishment requests.
- Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and maintain up-to-date records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and storage guidelines.
- Coordinate with procurement, accounts, and production teams for smooth material flow.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of the store area.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma; ITI/Diploma in Store Management, Supply Chain, or related field is an advantage.
- Experience: 1–3 years in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse management.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of inventory management practices and ERP/Store software.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and reports.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in material handling.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail with accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
