Key Responsibilities:

Accountability and Quality Assurance

• Accountable for the quality and integrity of every activity, with precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural, and Structural disciplines, interfacing with multidisciplinary processes.

Documentation and Compliance

• Responsible for managing QA/QC documents for the entire project, including certificates, calibration records, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports, site instructions/observations, records of permanent materials delivered, and other critical QA/QC documents.

Standards and Inspections

• Develop and determine all standards for performing inspections and tests on all procedures, overseeing all testing methods, and maintaining high-quality standards for all processes.

Material Quality and Procurement

• Review the quality of all materials on-site, ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality standards, and collaborate with the procurement department to ensure the quality of materials.

Testing and Inspection Supervision

• Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence to all procedures, and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.

Employee Training and Compliance

• Assist employees in understanding and adhering to all quality standards, ensure compliance with all quality manuals and procedures, and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain system quality.

Equipment and Hazardous Materials Management

• Manage the lifting of all equipment, ensure the efficient storage of hazardous materials, and perform quality audits as per the required schedule.

System Monitoring and Analysis

• Monitor an efficient system for recording all project activities, analyse all processes to ensure they meet quality requirements, and manage work methods while maintaining knowledge of quality assurance standards.

Continuous Improvement and Corrective Actions

• Monitor the continuous application of all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for all operations.

Safety and Risk Management

• Develop method statements for activities, including risk assessment, job safety, environmental analysis, Inspection Test Plan, and Checklist based on project specifications.

Coordination and Communication

• Liaise with the Site Engineer for the submission of material submittals to the Consultant.
• Coordinate with the Consultants representative and the Site In-charge for inspections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
• 15-20 years of extensive experience in quality control within the construction industry.
• Profound knowledge of construction processes, materials, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and superior analytical skills.
• Proficiency in quality control software, project management tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
• Certification in quality control or related fields (e.g., ISO, ASQ) is highly desirable.
