Role Summary:

We are looking for a results-driven Assistant Manager - Accounts who will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, including inventory reconciliation, revenue reconciliation, and the oversight of accounts receivable and payable processes. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records related to these areas, supporting the preparation of financial statements, and assisting with the management of cash flow. The Assistant Manager will work closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth accounting operations and timely financial reporting.

Core responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inventory reconciliation to ensure that physical stock aligns with system data.
  • Reconcile revenue data from multiple systems and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present periodic MIS reports that support decision-making.
  • Working with business teams to optimize inventory holding.
  • Co-ordinating with multiple third-party vendors (e.g. Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, etc.) for timely payment collection.
  • Handling ends to end month end closing process.
  • Oversee and manage the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payment to suppliers
  • Reconcile customer payments, resolve payment discrepancies, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of payments from customers.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Manage Internal audit and statutory audit pertaining to inventory and receivables

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles, with a focus on inventory and revenue reconciliation and MIS reporting

Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Solid working knowledge of Tally for financial transactions and reporting.
