TIG Welder/Fabricator

The Welder will be responsible for cutting, fitting, and welding various metal components to construct or repair metal structures, machinery, and equipment. The role involves working with a variety of tools and welding equipment while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.

Job description:

• Perform welding operations using methods such as MIG, TIG, arc, and gas welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Cut and shape metal components as required.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure tools are in safe working condition.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Make adjustments or repairs as needed to achieve desired results.
• Follow all workplace safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Identify potential hazards and take corrective action to maintain a safe working environment.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to complete tasks efficiently.
• Communicate progress and any issues encountered during the welding process.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC, etc.).
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy and materials science.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• ITI/Diploma/B.E any specialisation.
• 4+ years of experience in Welder
