Robotics Teacher – Description

A Robotics Teacher is an educator who specializes in teaching students the principles of robotics, engineering, and programming. They design and deliver hands-on lessons that help learners understand how robots work, how to build them, and how to program them to perform tasks. Robotics teachers often integrate STEM concepts—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—into engaging, project-based learning activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach students about robotics components, sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and mechanical systems
  • Introduce programming languages commonly used in robotics (e.g., Python, C++, block-based coding)
  • Guide students in building and programming robots using educational platforms such as LEGO EV3, VEX, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi
  • Create lesson plans, activities, and assessments aligned with STEM learning goals
  • Support students in robotics competitions, workshops, or after-school clubs
  • Encourage problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
  • Maintain classroom equipment, tools, and safety standards

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of robotics, engineering, and coding
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, engaging way
  • Experience with robotics kits and programming environments
  • Classroom management and communication skills
