Job Description

Job Title: Executive (Stores)

Industry: Oil & Gas / Offshore Fabrication / EPC

Job Summary: Stores Executiveis responsible for managing and overseeing all material handling, inventory control, and logistics operations within the fabrication yard. This role ensures timely availability of materials, tools, and consumables required for fabrication, welding, and erection activities, while maintaining accurate records and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory & Material Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.

  • Monitor stock levels and initiate procurement requests to avoid shortages.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of structural steel, piping, welding consumables, and fabrication tools.

  • Logistics Coordination:

  • Coordinate with procurement, planning, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Track and expedite critical items required for fabrication schedules.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain material issue slips, receipts, and stock registers.

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
  • Support audits and inspections by providing required documentation.

  • Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure materials are stored in compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Conduct periodic checks for shelf-life items and hazardous materials.
  • Implement FIFO/LIFO systems as applicable.

  • Team & Vendor Coordination:

  • Supervise store assistants and helpers.

  • Liaise with vendors and transporters for material deliveries and returns.

Qualifications & Experience: BSC, B.Com. 10–20-yeas Work experience in construction /EPC/onshore/fabrication industry
