Job Title: Data Analyst – Sybase to SQL MI Migration

Role Summary

We are seeking a Data Engineer / Data Analyst with strong expertise in real-time data profiling, data analysis, data validation, and data quality within a data migration environment. The role focuses heavily on Sybase analysis, SQL optimization, and Source-to-Target Mapping for the migration to SQL MI.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience in Sybase (query tuning & optimization – non-negotiable)
  • SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI)
  • Strong SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures & functions
  • Informatica IDQ (experience or familiarity)
  • Data Profiling & Data Quality
  • ETL workflows and Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM)

Technical Skills

  • Sybase CMS with heavy SQL-based profiling
  • Query performance tuning
  • SQL Server (SQL MI, iSQL)
  • ETL data mapping & transformation logic
  • Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Data validation, reconciliation & metadata documentation
  • Informatica IDQ (preferred; will be used in later phases)

Responsibilities

  • Perform deep data profiling on Sybase systems
  • Analyze data for migration to SQL MI
  • Develop detailed Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents
  • Execute data quality checks and define DQ metrics
  • Document business rules and metadata
  • Create test cases, validation scripts & QA documentation
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries
  • Collaborate with data stewards, SMEs, and cross-functional teams

Project Context

  • Migration from Sybase → SQL MI
  • Initial phase involves manual SQL profiling
  • Later transition to Informatica IDQ for automation
  • Heavy SQL, Sybase tuning, and data validation work

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month
