Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran Campus is inviting applications for the position of Head of Department (HOD) - Applied Sciences. This is a leadership role requiring a dynamic academic professional to drive excellence in teaching, research, and departmental administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the academic and administrative operations of the Applied Science department.
• Develop and enhance curriculum aligned with modern scientific advancements.
• Mentor and support faculty development and student success.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaborations and external partnerships.
• Oversee departmental budgeting, planning, and resource allocation.
• Organize academic events like seminars, workshops, and guest lectures.
• Participate in strategic planning and serve on key college committees.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Applied Science(Physics /Chemistry/ Mathematics)
• Proven academic leadership and administrative experience.
• Strong background in Applied Science with a research and publication track record.
• Demonstrated success in curriculum design and implementation.
• Experience in securing research grants and external funding.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
• A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia.
