Job Description

We are seeking a talented Odoo Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python and the Odoo framework for backend development, along with proficiency in JavaScript and XML for frontend customizations. The candidate should also possess solid knowledge of PostgreSQL database management and design.

Key Responsibilities

Backend (Odoo Development):

  • Develop and customize Odoo modules using Python and the Odoo ORM.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate Odoo with third-party applications.
  • Enhance existing modules and develop new features based on business requirements.

Frontend (Odoo Web & UI):

  • Customize Odoo frontend using XML, JavaScript, and OWL framework.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX into functional Odoo web pages and portal views.
  • Optimize web views for speed, scalability, and usability.

Database Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas.
  • Ensure data integrity, migration, and performance optimization.
  • Write efficient queries and manage database security.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including functional consultants, product managers, and other developers.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
  • Contribute to agile development processes and sprint planning.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Identify and resolve Odoo performance bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Ensure reliability and smooth functioning of Odoo applications.
  • Stay updated with the latest Odoo versions, frameworks, and emerging technologies.

Experience:

  • 2 3 years of experience as an Odoo Developer.
  • Proven expertise in Python and the Odoo framework.
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript, XML, and the OWL framework.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and database design.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of ERP workflows and Odoo modules (Sales, Inventory, Accounting, POS, etc.).
  • Ability to design and implement scalable and maintainable code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
