Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Identity Engineering domain, part of the broader Cyber Engineering function, you will play a critical role in strengthening the scalability, reliability, and security of enterprise identity and automation platforms.

Reporting to the Engineering Chapter Lead, you will deliver complex Privileged Access Management (PAM) and identity initiatives across cloud and on-prem environments. Working in a DevSecOps model, your focus will be on privileged access controls, identity lifecycle automation, and embedding security into every stage of the engineering lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to protect platforms, data, and digital assets while driving operational efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions using CyberArk.
• Build and manage custom connectors, plugins, and session management patterns for financial and cloud applications.
• Implement and manage onboarding workflows for privileged accounts, including CyberArk GPOs and system hardening policies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define, enforce, and streamline privileged access policies and controls.
• Automate identity and PAM processes using REST APIs, PACLI, and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Integrate PAM and identity controls into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows.
• Support incident management, post-incident reviews, and problem management related to identity and access systems.
• Contribute to the design and operation of secure, resilient identity platforms across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and innovation in identity and security engineering practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 912 years of experience in software engineering / identity security / PAM engineering roles.

• Deep hands-on expertise with CyberArk PAS components:

• CPM, PVWA, PSM, EPV, PTA, PSMP

• Proven experience integrating CyberArk with AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

• Strong experience developing custom CPM/PSM connectors, plugins, and session patterns, including integration with enterprise or financial systems (e.g., Mainframe).
• Hands-on experience with CyberArk SIA (Secure Infrastructure Access) is highly desirable.
• Experience with identity platforms such as SailPoint, PingID, or similar, including identity lifecycle management.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Bash, and RESTful services.
• Solid understanding of Windows and Linux server administration, installation, and configuration.

DevOps, Cloud & Automation

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, and related automation frameworks.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or AKS.
• Exposure to logging, monitoring, and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.

Security & Operations

• Strong understanding of incident management, post-incident reviews, and operational resilience within identity systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices including defense-in-depth, identity hardening, and least-privilege access.
• Experience adopting GenAI or AI-assisted automation within identity or security toolsets is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred)

• CyberArk Defender or CyberArk Sentry Certification
• CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineer (CCE) preferred

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
