About the role

Were looking for a skilled consultant with deep expertise in Workspace ONE and enterprise application packaging. In this role, youll lead the packaging, deployment, and troubleshooting of applications across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms. Youll work with tools like AdminStudio, InstallShield, PowerShell, and WS1 packaging utilities to ensure seamless software delivery and endpoint performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, install, and troubleshoot Workspace ONE UEM products across diverse environments.
• Lead L3 support for Workspace ONE platform issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
• Set up and deploy new Workspace ONE instances, including integration with identity platforms and enterprise systems.
• Provide proactive guidance to clients on new features, updates, and best practices in mobile and endpoint management.
• Support existing Workspace ONE customers with upgrades, performance tuning, and general inquiries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, networking, infrastructure) to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware/software upgrades to enhance customer environments.
• Stay current with industry trends, participate in webinars, and leverage online resources for continuous learning.
• Lead the end-to-end application packaging lifecycle for Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms using Workspace ONE.
• Create, test, and deploy application packages using tools such as:
  • AdminStudio
  • InstallShield
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Workspace ONE packaging utilities
• Ensure packages meet enterprise standards for silent installation, rollback, and version control.
• Collaborate with application owners to gather requirements and validate packaging outcomes.
• Troubleshoot packaging-related issues across diverse environments and escalate to vendors when necessary.
• Maintain a centralized repository of packaged applications with versioning and documentation.
• Automate packaging workflows and deployment processes using scripting and WS1 APIs.
• Perform compatibility testing across OS versions and device types (Windows 10/11, macOS, iOS, Android).
• Ensure compliance with security policies, digital signing, and certificate management for packaged apps.

What were looking for

• 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application packaging and deployment.
• Proficiency with industry-standard packaging tools:
  • AdminStudio for MSI creation and repackaging.
  • InstallShield for complex installer builds.
  • PowerShell for automation and custom scripting.
  • Workspace ONE UEM packaging utilities for mobile and desktop app deployment.
• Strong understanding of application installation behaviors, registry modifications, and system dependencies.
• Experience with silent installs, custom transforms (MST), and post-install configuration scripts.
• Familiarity with digital certificate signing, code integrity policies, and AppLocker.
• Solid grasp of Workspace ONE architecture and its integration with identity platforms (Azure AD, Okta).
• Ability to troubleshoot packaging failures across endpoints and resolve conflicts with existing software.
• Knowledge of Windows Server infrastructure, including DHCP, DNS, VPN, and load balancing.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DTM or VCP-DW) preferred.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
