Senior Information Security Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Security Engineer to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role where you will work across multiple security domains – from cloud and application security to compliance, incident response, and automation. You will collaborate with managers, developers, and IT teams to design, implement, and continuously improve security controls. This is a hands-on role where you will tackle a wide range of security challenges, from protecting our infrastructure to ensuring the security of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of secure infrastructure and application architecture. Provide security guidance to engineering and DevOps teams.
  • Implement, monitor, and improve cloud security controls (preferably Azure).
  • Assist in the preparation for security audits and help develop security policies and procedures.
  • Manage vulnerability management lifecycle: scanning, prioritization, remediation tracking.
  • Assist in monitoring and incident response investigations and security alerts triage.
  • Automate security tasks using scripting.
  • Research emerging threats, tools, and security practices; propose innovative improvements.
  • Common understanding and hands-on AI integration in SaaS products. Familiar with AI compliance standards like ISO 42001.
  • Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Passion for Security: You are in this field by choice, with a deep personal interest in security and a drive to expand your knowledge.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of network security principles and protocols (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Hands-on AI integration in SaaS products and familiarity with AI compliance standards like ISO 42001.
  • Strong foundation in cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA) is a plus.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Relevant certifications (Azure Security Engineer, OSCP, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent).
  • Prior startup or product-based company experience.
